Walks of New York celebrates the finale of its first successful year by offering two special tours for the holiday season.
Building upon the success of our Meet the Met Tour, Walks will offer Meet the Met with Kids, a fun, family-friendly tour designed to introduce the Metropolitan Museum’s art treasures to the entire family. To celebrate the holiday season, Walks will introduce a Christmas Lights Tour, exploring New York’s dazzling holiday lights and sights, as well as the city’s holiday traditions.
“There is a noticeable magic in the air in New York City around the holidays and it is our goal to show the best and most interesting spots to both visitors and locals,” notes Stephen Oddo, co-founder of Walks of New York. “It is one of the most joyful and busiest times in Manhattan, and we aim to seamlessly guide our guests through the hustle bustle to see the incredible attractions that New York is known for around the world.”
Beginning November 28, Walks’ New York Christmas Lights Tour will lead guests through Manhattan’s most spectacular holiday displays and sights. The walking tour will visit many of New York’s iconic holiday locations, including Macy’s Herald Square (inspiration for the classic Miracle on 34th Street), the animated windows at Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall and dazzling angels and holiday tree at Rockefeller Center. As a special treat, guests will enjoy a delicious holiday treat while watching the ice skaters at Bryant Park’s Winter Village. The tour ends at approximately 6pm, one block from Times Square – ideal for guests attending a Broadway show, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, or who wish to return to the shops and skating rinks in the area.
